2027 Schedule
Our winter season is intentionally organized into a limited number of weekly departures, allowing us to maintain the small-group experience that defines Turkish Backcountry.
Each week is reserved for a single private group, giving us the flexibility to adapt every trip to the snow, weather, and goals of our guests rather than operating around large fixed schedules.
Throughout the season, we also offer a limited number of Open Group departures for individual skiers and snowboarders, as well as our Intro to Backcountry course for those beginning their backcountry journey.

Your trip to Gito begins with a snowcat ride into the forests of the Kaçkars, where a quiet village, welcoming hosts, and untouched terrain become your home for the week. From the lodge at 2000m, we step directly into the mountains, touring each day through forests and alpine bowls blanketed by deep Black Sea snowstorms.

Enjoy a stay at Flora Handuzu, a beautiful village of well appointed cabins set on the edge of a 2000m plateau. With amazing views of the Black Sea, spa/massage center, and an incredible restaurant Handuzu is a ski touring trip elevated.
With beautiful open Beech forests the ski touring accessed tree riding is world class. Handuzu also has snowcat access available to the local peak Kirtil for Cat skiing above treeline on sunny days.

Handuzu
Rising to 3917m (12,854 ft) Erciyes is an impressive peak. There is a ski resort on its lower slopes, but the true adventure is to be found on the faces far above the lifts! Erciyes is a truly extreme alpine experience, join us for a guided tour to the best steeps! Best conditions are usually in March and April with clearer weather and a deeper snowpack. The steep slopes, prominence, and incredible views of Erciyes are sure to impress!

Intro to Backcountry course
Our Intro to Backcountry course is designed for skiers and snowboarders ready to move beyond the resort with confidence. We focus on touring movement, equipment use, avalanche rescue, terrain awareness, and day planning — the essential skills needed to begin making better decisions in winter mountain terrain.
Pricing: €1200/person

Please note the emphasis of this class is on building skills, our focus is not downhill skiing.
*50% deposit required at reservation. Balance due 60 days before trip start date.
*Splitboards are available for rent for €50/day
Snowmobile Clinics
Our snowmobile clinics are private, hands-on courses for small groups of up to four people. The focus is practical mountain use: safe operation, maneuvering, maintenance, deep-snow riding, getting unstuck, climbing, descending, turning, and sidehilling.
