Ovit
Ovit Mountain Project
Ovit mountain is a ski area, opened on January 1 2021, developed by the Turkish Backcountry Team. Between January 2020 and March 2021 our team explored the terrain, analyzed the snowpack, and developed the operating plan for Ovit Mountain in Rize Province, Turkey. Turkish Backcountry was responsible for initial website development, marketing and social media management. .
Handuzu Mountain Project
Handuzu Yaylasi Adventure Tours
In partnership with Handuzu Tatil Koyu, we developed winter recreation operations at Handuzu Yaylasi in Rize Province of Northeastern Turkey. Handuzu is a village of romantic cabins surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Kaçkar Range. Known for its deep, stable snow and interesting terrain (both above and below treeline) , it boasts exclusive access to over 4,000 acres of mountain terrain. Beginning February 2021 we explored and mapped the surrounding terrain for backcountry skiing/snowboarding, snowmobiling, and future ski resort development.
MaceraSever (Adventurist)
MaceraSever with Orkun Olgar
Its been our great pleasure to help facilitate several episodes of MaceraSever (Adventurist) with Orkun Olgar. We have given snow safety analysis, logistical support, and appeared on screen alongside Orkun in the Uludag, Ovit, Handuzu, and Ilgaz, and Kars episodes.
