Turkish Backcountry is a small mountain team based in Türkiye, built to provide professional access to the wild terrain, deep snow, and mountain culture of the Kaçkar Mountains. Every trip is led with careful planning, local knowledge, and the belief that the best backcountry experiences are personal, flexible, and shared in small groups. Türkiye is a country of high mountains, snowy winters, and vast terrain still largely unknown to the international ski world. Our work is to open that door carefully — connecting guests to places, people, and lines that few travelers ever experience.

Our philosophy :

The mountains where we guide are not just terrain — they are home to villages, families, food, music, language, and traditions that define this region. We are proud to share that world with our guests in a way that feels genuine, respectful, and deeply connected to place.

We keep our groups intentionally small so every day can be shaped around the snow, the weather, and the people in the mountains with us. With experienced guides, avalanche safety equipment, snowcat and snowmobile access, and touring-based movement, we create private-feeling backcountry trips built around quality rather than volume.
