Gito Yaylasi is in the northeastern Black Sea region of Türkiye. The village of Gito is on a high plateau (2000m) in the Kaçkar Mountain Range that receives an incredible amount of powder snow from storms coming off of the Black Sea. On the drive in from the coast you will pass the famous Zilkale, The Black Sea regions most famous castle. With regular storms between December and April (snow history ) that produce between 50 and 150 cm of snow we have a stable and deep snowpack. March is usually our snowiest month, averaging 50cm of snow per week.
We have moderate and steep slopes with complex terrain that will impress any level of skier or snowboarder. We have great terrain both above and below treeline ensuring we can enjoy storm days as well. When the weather is clear we can climb above treeline to local peaks (up to 2800m) boasting incredible alpine bowls up high and beautiful glades of mixed evergreen and deciduous trees on their lower slopes.
Accommodation is at Koçira Pansiyon, a comfortable and simple Mountain lodge at 2100m just steps from our skiing terrain. Our lodge hosts are a local family of musicians and artists, the atmosphere is incredible and the meals delicious. The lodge has generator electricity, running water, and flushing toilets but no showers.
We also have the option to stay at a standard hotel at 1000m and begin our day with a 45 min snowcat ride up to the skiing terrain. This ensures a stay more focused on comfort while still skiing the exceptional terrain of Gito.

Handuzu is in the Black Sea region of Türkiye. Handuzu is a high plateau, whose name translates to “Kings Plateau”, in the Kaçkar Mountain Range that receives an incredible amount of powder snow from storms coming off of the Black Sea. We accommodate at Flora Handuzu, a luxurious village of Cabins resting at 1900m. This puts us right on the doorstep of incredible riding terrain.
Handuzu has moderate and steep treed slopes with complex terrain that will impress any level of skier or snowboarder. The mixed hardwood forests lose their leaves in the winter creating incredibly open glades for tree skiing. When the weather is clear we can climb above treeline to the local peak of Kirtil.
